Last Saturday the 30th of April. Mark Utley, Ryan Lalonde, and myself headed about an hour outside of the city of Saskatoon to a small town of Domremy Sk, Canada. It reminded me alot of my hometown of Leask, Sk. The production van was packed full of gear and I was excited for two reasons #1) I love doing music videos #2) We were using the Sony F3.
It was a little chilli in this old school that's been abandoned for 15 years. But it made for a great set, there were plans to demolish it this month, but they actually held off a week for us.
Couple different scenes of them in a classroom. Standing in the corner, sledge hammering the blackboards, spray painting, that sort of thing.
Had to protect the camera from flying debrie.
I mostly ran the dolly but the 3 of all shared production duties.
Mark hooking a light up to an old basketball backboard frame.
Original lights from the ceiling of the gym. Beatrice (Producer / Director) grabbed them prior. They turned out yellowish green on camera.
Last couple shots of bloody footprints.
Beatrice arranged for us to have supper after we wrapped, we had lasagna then watched some of the footage on a HDTV before heading back to Saskatoon. It was a good day.
