Hello! Long time no see. I know I've been dropping the ball as far as my blogging goes. When I get busy its hard to put time into it cause we all know, "bloggin ain't easy but it sure is fun". So I decided to bring y'all up to speed on some of the things I've been up too during the last 4 months....lol

Feb 9th - Shot a timelapse of the Credit Union Centre as the rink filled up for Sportsnet's On The Edge: Road to the MasterCard Memorial Cup documentary series. It was the 25th Anniversary game, so they had a record attendance of 12,588. Unfortunately it didn't make it into the show but I'm working on getting it on YouTube. So check back soon.

Feb 13th - Directed / switched a SaskTel Max music mobile for Bamboo Shoots again at the Broadway Theatre. It was a benefit concert for Wounded Warriors. My childhood best friend Ryan Paquette performed with Christianne Godart.

April 27th - Operated Camera for Downstream Pictures as we covered Potashcorp's We Day festival 2013.

Mar 20th, 23rd & Apr 24th - Sound technician for a documentary by Blue Hill Productions.

Mar 21st Operated camera aswell as my other Production Coordinator / Assistant Editor duties for Sportsnet's On The Edge: Road to the MasterCard Memorial Cup. Towards the end I was shooting every game slow motion 60p with an EX1. It was cool to see alot of my shots make it in the show, especially the goals. Photographer Liam Richards (to the right of me), Blades Goaltender Andrey Makarov, photo credit: Steve Hiscock.

Mar 27th - We went to Medicine Hat for the playoffs where the Blades lost but it was a fun trip. I shot both games plus had a sweet set up in my hotel for data management and editing other pressing projects. The weather was so nice compared to Saskatoon too.

Apr 5th - Here is my brother Neal acting in the Comco Controls Game Changer shoot.

Stephen Hunt was my DOP and I directed / edited this project. Coming to YouTube soon.

Apr 13th - Directed / Switched a SaskTel Max music mobile for Bamboo Shoots covering the All Mighty Voice in this cool place just outside of Prince Albert, Saskatchewan, Canada. Unfortunately my camera opertator Lisa smashed her figure loading out after the show so she had to get stitches. I felt bad for her.
Apr 27th - Operated camera for Bamboo Shoots covering the Don Narsisse Football Camp in Saskatoon, SK. Anthony Cavillo gives a motivational speech to the kids. I shot in the morning, edited in the afternoon and they played it at a Gala by 8pm. It was a rush. I had to help out my buddy Robby G cause his house got broken into the night before and he had to fix his door. Poor guy, I know he was looking forward to this shoot. Click photo to watch video.

Apr 29th - We shot another Comco Controls video for Liquid Systems. Same crew and same great accomodating client. We had fun making these, can't believe this was the 5th one!

May 5th - Our Director Jeff Newman had a great idea of doing a nice little wrap party with the Blades, showing some bloopers and giving thanks. He called the 2013 Edgy Awards. We also included a pump up video for their quest to the Memorial Cup. I ran the video screen but all editing was done by the show's editor Randy Frykas who came out for the show. I finally had a chance to meet him and my producers Corey Russell and Patrick Clement. Great guys!

May 16th, 18th & 26th - Memorial Cup 2013 finally arrives. I got 3 days with Dome / Sportsnet. I was cable pulling for the camera shooting Alexa Normand forgetting the words to the US anthem but I was so proud of all the Canadians who sang it loudly to help her out. Here's a shot of me in that moment. Photo credit: Brad Proudlove

600 K hits later and she's at least got some exposure. bad publicity is stil publicity.

May 17th, 19th, 20th, 21st, 22nd, 23rd & 24th - Operated corner camera for the Jumbotron. Another Bamboo Shoots gig, my brother Neal operates the robo cams. He's the guy who puts you on the kiss cam. He worked all 9 days. This is us car pooling to the games.

May 23rd - It was kinda sad to see their Memorial Cup dreams and wild and crazy season come to an end. I felt like I was very much invested and really had a great time watching and covering them this year. Bleed Blue!
